To post or not to post

Ok, so I haven't been ignoring my blog, but i often feel as though I should have pictures to back me up, or maybe something terribly exciting to add. Lacking that, here's hoping that I can write well enough to make up for it. I took the 2nd of a two part voice over class with John Wilson this week at the Sandwich Community School.

It was interesting and fun and the biggest thing I learned was that it can be pretty darned expensive to get yourslf started. Studio time, many copies of a demo tape, getting the demo tape out there.....so this too, will have to wait a while since I need to save money. I will look at this as time to get LOTS of practice for the demo tape so that the demo sounds good, and so will I, when the time comes for me to back it up.

And yes, I am confident enough to say "when." I think that "getting into character" is easier for me than it is for your average person, perhaps because I love it, rather than being embarrassed about it.

As to other news, the Top Secret Sweater sleeves and body have all made it onto the large circ, but wait for me to have more time to focus over the weekend. I hope to be wearing next week, fo better or for worse! I cast on a baby blanket to send to Sweden-assuming I have enough of the Chrles Brett yarn.

Other Daily News

In addition to visiting my brand new nephew, I also managed to get the slide photos I had taken yesterday developed and picked them up today. So now I have no excuses not to get the slides and info in to see if I can get the flag into an exhibit in Boston this spring!
My grand nephew, Jordan, was born at 10.39 this morning, much to the relief of his lovely mom, Nicole and his to-beautiful-to-be-a-grandma Bridget. He is healthy and beautiful!

Jordan at about 4 hours old.

I Need More Light!

I need more light, indeed. I am waiting to see if the ground will dry and the sun will make an appearance. Thus far, the best spot I can find to take slide photos of the flag is from the porch, with the flag in the driveway. This strikes me as slightly ludicrous, but my options are rather limited, as I need to get high enough above the flag to take the slides. Note to self: In future, make smaller work.

Seriously, though, I am running out of time to get these slides done.
I hope I can find a suitable spot and take some decent slides this week. Guess I need to go iron the whole thing out. What, me, iron? I really must me crazy. Maybe I'll go procrastinate some more by knitting. Since I've become knitting obsessed, I've noticed that it is actually hard to be unproductive. Even if knitting isn't what I ought to be doing, it is productive. Go figure.
